The Premier League clubs have voted to adopt new rules: a “Squad Cost Ratio” (SCR) system will replace PSR starting from the 2026-27 season.

Under the new SCR rules, these kind of related-party sales (hotels, women’s teams to linked companies) will no longer be allowed for the purpose of accounting them as “revenue” for cost-control metrics.

There will also be “Sustainability and Systemic Resilience (SSR)” rules assessing clubs’ financial health more broadly
