RB Leipzig manager, Marco Amorim, has expressed confidence in striker Benjamin Sesko despite the forward’s slow start at Manchester United. While Sesko has yet to make a significant impact in the Premier League, Amorim remains relaxed and emphasizes patience with the young talent’s adaptation process.
Speaking in a recent press conference, Amorim highlighted the importance of giving players time to adjust to new leagues and tactical systems. “Benjamin is a talented player with great potential,” Amorim noted. “Moving to a new club, especially one competing at the highest level, takes time. It’s natural for there to be an adjustment period.”
Amorim also stressed that evaluating a player’s contributions should go beyond immediate goal-scoring. He pointed out Sesko’s work rate, movement, and understanding of team tactics as positive indicators for long-term success. “Even if the goals haven’t come yet, the effort and intelligence he shows in training and matches are very promising. We are confident he will find his rhythm.”
The manager’s comments come amid speculation over Sesko’s form, with some pundits questioning whether the young striker can adapt quickly to the Premier League’s pace and intensity. Amorim, however, maintains that pressure should be kept in perspective, especially for emerging talents still developing their game at top-tier clubs.
“Patience is key,” Amorim concluded. “We know what Benjamin is capable of, and we trust that, with time, he will make the impact everyone expects. Right now, it’s about support, guidance, and allowing him to grow into his role.”
With United looking to bolster their attacking options, Sesko’s adaptation period is closely watched, but Amorim’s calm and measured approach underscores a focus on long-term development rather than short-term results.
