Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that young forward Warren Doue will be out of action for several weeks after sustaining a thigh injury during the club’s 1-1 draw with Lorient on Wednesday evening.
The 20-year-old was visibly emotional as he was stretchered off around the hour mark, marking another setback in what has been a difficult start to his season. Doue had only just returned from a calf injury suffered while representing France during the September international break.
Following the game, reports from AFP indicated that the PSG starlet left the Stade du Moustoir on crutches and avoided putting pressure on his right leg as he boarded the team bus.
Manager Luis Enrique expressed his disappointment after the match, saying: “It’s always bad news when one of our players gets injured. We’ll assess him and hope it’s nothing too serious.”
PSG’s schedule remains demanding, with a Ligue 1 clash against Nice this weekend followed by a high-profile Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich on November 4.
Doue was one of PSG’s standout performers last season, contributing 16 goals and 16 assists across all competitions as the club captured both the Champions League and a domestic double. His recent form had also been encouraging—scoring twice in the 7-2 rout of Bayer Leverkusen before finding the net again in last weekend’s 3-0 win over Brest.
Despite the draw at Lorient, PSG remain top of Ligue 1, holding a one-point advantage after rivals Marseille and Lyon both dropped points in their respective fixtures.
