Paris Saint-Germain delivered a stunning attacking performance to crush Bayer Leverkusen 7–2, extending their perfect start in this season’s Champions League to three wins from three.

The reigning champions were electric from the first whistle. Willian Pacho opened the scoring just seven minutes in, heading home from Nuno Mendes’ superb cross. Leverkusen thought they had a lifeline when a penalty was awarded after Illia Zabarnyi fouled Claudio Echeverri, but Alejandro Grimaldo saw his spot-kick bounce off the post. Moments later, the hosts’ night worsened as Robert Andrich saw his yellow card upgraded to red following a VAR review for an elbow on Desire Doue.

Despite briefly equalising through Aleix Garcia’s penalty after Zabarnyi’s dismissal, Leverkusen were quickly torn apart. Doue struck twice, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia found the net with a precise effort off both posts, and PSG led 4–1 at the break.

The visitors didn’t let up after halftime. Vitinha sliced through midfield to set up Mendes, who coolly finished from close range. Garcia pulled one back with a thunderous long-range strike, but Ousmane Dembele, making his return from injury, tapped in PSG’s sixth shortly after coming on. Vitinha then added a late seventh to complete the rout.

Despite domestic struggles in Ligue 1, where they’ve slipped behind Marseille, PSG showed in Europe that their attacking firepower remains unmatched, sending a clear message to the rest of the continent.
